About Us
Hunter River Early Learning Centre is a non-profit organization located in Hunter River.
It is licensed under the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. License #'s: L4484, L4364. We are staffed by Certified Early Childhood Educators with up-to-date CPR and First Aid Training.
Our Early Years Centre offers a cozy home like environment that incorporates lots of nature, greenspace and has an abundance of natural light. Hunter River has some sidewalks that we take advantage of during the nice weather as well as the rails for trails that are located behind our Centre.
We follow the PEI Early Learning Framework, our curriculum includes early Literacy, Numeracy, Science, Social Studies and Art, which are facilitated through a play-based learning environment.
We are situated next to Central Queens School and have access to their facilities including the playground, gym, and computer lab. Central Queens hosts school activities throughout the year that we take part in, which helps children in becoming familiar with their future school.
Our rates follow the scale set up by Government for all Early Years Centres’ and include a nutritious meal plan providing two snacks and a hot lunch daily. For rates visit the Early Childhood Development Association of PEI.
Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 7:30 am – 5: 30 pm.
